Meet the Doctors
The Gagnejas are a family of self-proclaimed nerds!
Prashant and Monisha met in dental school in India, have love and appreciation for life and enjoy their time together and being kids’ dentists. Known as Dr. G and Dr. Mo by their patients, they have a great love for animals – especially dogs! You will see one of their beloved Boston Terriers, Ladoo, featured in the MLK comic book as “Lord Ladoo”. Their black labrador, Mowgli, is being trained as a therapy dog to work at the dental office!
The name of the clinic defines the philosophy of their Practice: Must Love Kids! That’s the reason both Drs. Gagneja work with kids: their passion to help and work with children comes naturally to them. It’s why Must Love Kids® should be your number one choice for Pediatric Dentists in Vancouver
MONISHA GAGNEJA, BDS
Dr. Monisha Gagneja or affectionately called Dr. Mo, grew up in a northern Indian family of physicians where she was the first one to choose dentistry instead of medicine! After graduating in 1994 from the Government Dental College in India, she practiced as a General Dentist with her husband (Dr. Prashant Gagneja) in their private practice.
When she moved to the United States, she went back to school to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry at Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU). At OHSU, she got the opportunity to train both at the school of Dentistry and to treat kids with special health care needs at Doernbecher Children's Hospital. She received her board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2009.
Dr. Monisha Gagneja has presented at international dental conferences and has received numerous awards for academics, community services, music, art, and sports. She participates in both local community outreach programs and global health projects. She was published in a renowned Pediatric Dentistry Journal in 2007 and has also been featured in Physician’s Scribe magazine in 2012. She has been on local TV shows multiple times promoting the oral health of children with special health care needs.
In the past, she has worked as a pediatric dentist at Willamette Dental Clinic and Gentle Dental in Vancouver. Dr. Mo also trained the dental students and pediatric dentistry residents at OHSU. Dr. Mo was the founding dentist at Providence Specialty Dental Clinic for Children in Portland, OR, specializing in treating those with special health care needs.
As a former faculty member at OHSU School of Dentistry, member of American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and local and national Pediatric Dental associations, Dr. Gagneja has stayed current with the latest in pediatric dental care. She is also affiliated with Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Salmon Creek Legacy Hospital, St. Vincent’s Providence Hospital and Kaiser Interstate Surgical Center.
According to Dr. Mo “I love working with kids because it gives me an opportunity to experience the uniqueness of each child and be a part of their lives in a small way. It has taught me immense patience and unconditional love.”
When she is not working, She loves to play the violin, paint, read, watch movies and spend time with her loving husband, Prashant, their adorable boys, Anav and Aadil and their dog, Mowgli.

CHELSEA ZAMUDIO, DDS
Dr. Z hails from Damascus, OR. Even as a child, Dr. Z always wanted to be a dentist. She even used to “examine” her Great Dane’s mouth! After graduating from University of the Pacific Dental School, Dr. Z did her residency at UCLA. She has recently relocated back to the northwest from southern California. She chose to specialize in Pediatric Dentistry because kids are so much fun! She loves animals, and has two dogs and two cats. Dr. Z also enjoys photography.
